The number of Family Health Centers in Istanbul increased to 1,102

Sultangazi Municipality, which helps the district's health centers provide better service to its citizens by improving their current quality, has brought a new family health center to the district. The opening ceremony for the Şaban Özbek Family Health Center, located on D Street in the 50th Yıl neighborhood, was held with the participation of Istanbul Governor Davut Gül. The ceremony was attended by Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Provincial Health Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Emre Güner, Sultangazi District Governor Mahmut Kaşıkçı, Mayor Abdurrahman Dursun, representatives of political parties, and a large number of citizens. With the opening of the Health Center, the number of Family Health Centers (FHCs) in Istanbul has increased to 1,102.

Transformation in health

Istanbul Governor Davut Gül said, "With the transformation in healthcare services under the leadership of our President, we have become the health capital of the world. Family Health Centers within walking distance and easily accessible are of great importance in our cities. I extend my gratitude to our Mayor for implementing such a positive transformation and opening it to the service of our citizens."

Istanbul Provincial Health Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Emre Güner stated, "We have taken the necessary steps in collaboration with our Ministry of Health and the Sultangazi Municipality. We will equip every corner of Sultangazi with healthcare facilities. Preparations are underway to bring a healthcare center to the İsmetpaşa neighborhood. Sultangazi will be one of the few oncology units on the European side, and construction is ongoing. As our Mayor said, 'Together for the better.' I believe we will achieve greater things together."

Sultangazi Mayor Abdurrahman Dursun said, "We are continuing our efforts to build a stronger city across Sultangazi, not only as a healthcare center but also in education, culture, arts, and sports. The Family Health Center we've brought here today is part of a larger complex. We also have a 300-car parking garage, a multipurpose hall, and a park underneath. We have many more service centers and Family Health Centers within our facilities that we've opened. We will open them all. Everything we do is to make life easier for our neighbors."
