Forest fire in Bursa: Three neighborhoods evacuated

Intervention continues in the fire that broke out in the forest area between the Gürsu and Kestel districts of Bursa .
Efforts are continuing non-stop to extinguish the fire that broke out yesterday evening in the forested area between the Gürsu TOKİ Residences in the Gürsu İpekyolu Neighborhood and the Ağlaşan Neighborhood in the Kestel district.
Citizens are also supporting the efforts to fight the fire, which is rapidly growing due to the wind.
Following the evacuation of the rural Karahıdır Neighborhood as a precaution due to the fire advancing towards the Gürsu district, the İğdir Neighborhood, which was approaching the flames, was also evacuated .
Meanwhile, a forest fire that broke out in the Meyran area on the Harmancık road in the Orhaneli district was brought under control after 10 hours. It was reported that the fire's intensity had been reduced and it was no longer dangerous.

The rural Karahıdır neighborhood of Gürsu district has been safely evacuated, and the fire was brought under control before it reached residential areas. The İğdir neighborhood has also been safely evacuated, and our teams are working on the ground to prevent the fire from spreading to the neighborhood. Fortifications have been established in the Avdancık neighborhood, where the fire is progressing, and our response teams are actively working in the area.
1,765 people were evacuatedIn a statement released on the Governorship's social media account, it was stated, "As a result of the evacuation efforts carried out within the scope of the ongoing forest fires in the rural neighborhoods of our Gürsu district, 170 households and 708 citizens from Karahıdır, 220 households and 600 citizens from İğdir, 90 households and 457 citizens from Avdancık, a total of 480 households and 1,765 citizens have been safely evacuated. Fire extinguishing efforts are continuing non-stop with 1,163 personnel and 496 vehicles."
