First to the truck, then to the pole! Chain accident in Karaman

One person was injured in a traffic accident in Karaman. The accident took place on Ahmet Zeki Velidi Togan Boulevard in İbrahim Hakkı Konyalı Neighborhood.

According to the information received, the car with the registration number 42 NC 284, driven by RG, crashed into the side of the cargo truck with the registration number 38 AHZ 022, driven by BA, while trying to overtake it. The car, which went out of control due to the impact, crashed into a lighting pole on the side of the road. The truck it was overtaking also crashed into the back of the vehicle that skidded.

The car driver, RG, was injured in the accident. Health, fire and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The injured driver was taken to Karaman Training and Research Hospital and treated.

The road, which was closed to traffic for a while due to the accident, was reopened after the car was removed. Gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation into the accident.

Describing the accident, truck driver BA said, "I was coming up, I looked in the mirror and didn't see it. First it hit my truck from the side, then it hit the pole."
