Yucatecan Desiré Villalobos shines in the National Third Force

Desiré Villalobos Erosa put the finishing touches to her time with the Third Force Nationals.
The Yucatecan was crowned champion in her category, her third gold medal in this competition, and earned her ticket to join the Mexican national team that will compete in the Central American and Caribbean Championship (CONCECABOL) Second Force, to be played in May in Mexico.
On Wednesday, at the closing ceremony of the National Championships, Desiré scored a total of 5,839 pins, for an average of 201.34, giving her first place in the all-women's competition at the Bolerama de Coyoacán in Mexico City. Mariana Rendón Millán of UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico) placed second with 200.31, and Melissa Pérez Mercado of IPN (National Autonomous University of Mexico) in third with 200.00.
Previously, the Yucatecan had won gold medals in the state "champion of champions" format and in the individual tournament.
And the prize for the best in the competition was their appointment to the Mexican national team that will participate in the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Championships. Ricardo Arrioja of UNAM rose to the top of the list at the awards ceremony. Both, upon winning the championship, will no longer be able to play in this category, relegating to second place or higher.— Gaspar Silveira
