When language is no longer a problem: YouTube just broke the game with this new feature

YouTube has launched the multilingual audio feature so that all creators on the platform can add dubbing to their videos in different languages, thereby reaching a wider audience.
Google's platform began testing this feature in October 2021, and in February 2023 , it expanded access to the tool so that some of its most subscribed creators could try it out, such as Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast.
Now, YouTube has announced that it will officially roll out the multilingual audio feature in the coming weeks, allowing subscribers in South Korea, Brazil, or India to watch videos from a US creator in their native language, the platform said in a post on its website.
The streaming app said that since it began rolling out the app, it has seen creators who added multilingual audio tracks to their videos see more than 25 percent of their viewing time come from views in the alternate language.
YouTube has also begun testing multilingual thumbnails with a select group of creators , giving them the opportunity to add localized thumbnails based on the language selected by viewers.
The platform has cited examples where this tool had a significant impact on viewership, such as chef Jamie Oliver's channel, which tripled its viewership with multilingual audio tracks.
Another case is that of Mark Rober, who has one of the largest number of multilingual dubbings, with an average of more than 30 languages per video.
