The event will also feature expert Paca Zuleta, director of the Alberto Lleras Camargo School of Government at the University of the Andes.
In these types of spaces, the presidential candidates of the Democratic Center present their proposals to address Colombia's main challenges, which, according to Uribe supporters, have worsened during the administration of President Gustavo Petro.

Following the assassination of Miguel Uribe Turbay, who was attacked on June 7 and died on August 11, the Democratic Center decided that the pre-candidate's father would be his replacement in the search for the party's candidate.

The idea is that by the end of December or, at the latest, January, an international survey that provides guarantees to all participants will determine who will retain the endorsement of the party that won the presidency in 2018 with Iván Duque.
But it's not certain that the chosen candidate will be the one who makes it to the first round. All signs point to Uribe's party participating in an interparty referendum in March, as political leaders and experts agree that a single force is not in a position to win the presidency and will need alliances.

Former President Uribe, for now, has devoted himself to campaigning. He did so amidst the trial against him. Furthermore, after being prosecuted and released, he has stated that he will dedicate all his efforts to winning the elections.
