Johnny Pujols says the Dominican Republic is enduring poor PRM governance.

The secretary general of the Dominican Liberation Party ( PLD ), Johnny Pujols , launched a critical message to the government and a firm call to his party's members this Sunday, emphasizing that the population's " patience " in the face of national problems is "reaching its limit," and that the PLD members must therefore remain firm in their response.
According to Pujols, citizens have endured difficulties such as rising prices , unemployment, blackouts, and citizen insecurity during President Luis Abinader's administrations, and "cannot be entertained" with empty speeches or broken promises.
"The people are putting up with all of this, but the people are not stupid and cannot be entertained forever," the politician said during a meeting of PLD leaders from the National District and Santo Domingo.
In his speech, Pujols warned about what he described as a " discursive machine " that for five years has fostered disenchantment among the population, weakening confidence in politics and institutions.
In this regard, he stressed that PLD politicians must act with " determination , courage, and profound respect for the truth" to regain credibility and respond to the real needs of citizens .

Pujols also called on his party's members not to be distracted or overcome by indifference, emphasizing that unity , discipline, and commitment are essential in a complex political moment.
He said that only "with courage and concrete action " can we address the current situation and meet citizens' expectations.
The leader concluded that, although the population has shown patience in the face of the country's problems , it is not infinite, and warned that political parties and the government must act responsibly to avoid further social and political unrest , such as that evidenced by the electoral abstention in 2024, he said.

The assembly of PLD leaders, which brought together militants from Santo Domingo and the National District, was headed by the party's president, Danilo Medina , and by the opposition organization 's Political Committee .
At the meeting, PLD leaders reviewed their party structure in the capital and pledged to visit and contact all citizens who wish to work for the PLD .
