Barranquilla Mayor Alejandro Char, with an 85.4% approval rating, is the highest-rated local leader in Colombia, according to a survey by Guarumo and EcoAnalítica. Char's disapproval rating is 10.6%.
Another Atlantic coast mayor who received high ratings in the survey is Dumek Turbay, the mayor of Cartagena. He has a 75.6% approval rating, while his disapproval rating is 21.3%.

For his part, Bogotá Mayor Carlos Fernando Galán has a 55% approval rating, while disapproval of his administration is 40.7%.

The mayor of Bucaramanga, Jaime Beltrán, has a 68.3% approval rating, while his disapproval rating is 23.5%.

For his part, Alejandro Éder, mayor of Cali, has a 52.2% approval rating, while his disapproval rating is 39.1%.

Medellín Mayor Federico Gutiérrez has a 60.2% approval rating and a 26.5% disapproval rating.

According to the survey, insecurity remains the main problem in the country's major cities. After the survey, citizens cited unemployment, health, and the cost of living as their top concerns.
