The 2025 Cafam Women's Award opens its call for entries for its 37th edition: a tribute to vibrant women in Colombia.
The Cafam Women's Award is now open for applications for its 37th edition . For more than three decades, this recognition has honored the work of Colombian women who, with vocation, dedication, and commitment, transform lives and territories in the most diverse corners of the country.

Next year, the Cafam Women's Award will honor the Women Full of Life , those who, with their courage and determination, are generating real transformations in their communities. For 36 years, the event has highlighted real and powerful stories of social leadership in Colombia.
Throughout its history, it has had 6,017 nominees, 990 finalists, and 36 national winners , who have proudly represented their communities. With a presence throughout the country, this award has established itself as the platform for recognizing female leadership.
“For nearly four decades, we have witnessed the transformative power of Colombian women. We are honored to continue recognizing their social work and their commitment to equity and the well-being of their communities ,” said Luis Gonzalo Giraldo Marín, administrative director of Cafam.

Those who wish to nominate a candidate can do so through their local Family Compensation Funds or Rotary Clubs. Please note that the candidate must meet the following conditions:
- Nominees must be women of legal age, regardless of their socioeconomic status, who have significantly contributed to improving the quality of life in communities across the country.
- The application documents, along with the requirements established in the general regulations, must be submitted to the Family Compensation Funds or Rotary Clubs in different cities across the country.
- The deadline for submitting finalist candidates for each department is Friday, October 31, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., or according to the schedule and/or deadlines established by each regional Family Compensation Fund or Rotary Club.
Final applications may be submitted by certified mail to Cafam's Public Relations Office, located at Av. Cra. 68 No. 90-88, Block 3, 5th floor; by email to [email protected]; or through a Wetransfer or YDRAY link.

Who won the title in 2025? The woman who received the title of 'Cafam Woman of 2025', which was announced during the awards ceremony in March, was Luz Stella de los Ríos Zapata, a graduate in Social Sciences.
Zapata leads the Rural School Core Educational Institution in Quinchía, Risaralda, a benchmark for comprehensive education in the region. Thanks to its academic model, the institution guarantees access to a comprehensive education , from early childhood through technical high school, in addition to developing programs for adults and over-aged youth, contributing to quality education in the department.
Since 2013, he has worked to implement innovative strategies that link technology, science and agro-industrial production .
