Viva Aerobus , a low-cost airline in Mexico, said it will install L-bins on 52 of its Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, aiming to increase baggage space by up to 60%.

The L-bins are made from ultra-lightweight and highly durable composite materials and are designed to be installed within three to five days, ensuring the aircraft's prompt return to service.

Grupo Financiero Banorte, the country's largest lender without a foreign parent company, received approval from its owners for the payment of a dividend of 9.98 pesos per share, representing a 6.2% yield based on its closing price of 159.7 pesos per share on April 23.

The payment, approved at the ordinary annual meeting, will be made in cash starting May 5 in a single installment, Banorte indicated in its meeting resolutions.

In total, the lender will distribute 28,094.1 million pesos in dividends this year. In addition to the dividend, the company's owners approved the formation of a board of directors with 14 members, eight of them independent, chaired by Carlos Hank González.

Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (Asur), the operator of airports in Mexico, Colombia, and Puerto Rico, announced that its shareholders approved the payment of three dividends totaling 80 pesos per share.

Asur announced it will pay an ordinary dividend of 50 pesos in May 2025, in addition to two extraordinary payments of 15 pesos per share payable in September and November of this year.

The dividend would imply a yield of 13.3% based on the closing price of 600.99 pesos on April 23 on the Mexican Stock Exchange.

Asur shareholders also approved setting aside and allocating six pesos from the remaining net profits accumulated as of December 31, 2024, to increase the company's legal reserve fund.

Lyft will launch standard taxis for select passengers in the United States starting in May as part of its feature expansion plan, the company announced Thursday.

Taxi dispatch service will begin in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 5 for passengers who have opted for taxis instead of occasional drivers in ride-share vehicles, according to the company.

Signed-up passengers can book rides on the Lyft app and will potentially be assigned a taxi for "standard, standby, or priority pickup rides."
