SAT app updated: Procedures you can now complete from your cell phone

The Tax Administration Service (SAT) has updated its mobile apps so taxpayers across the country can complete tax procedures quickly and in an organized manner, avoiding long lines at offices.
The update applies to the “SAT Mobile Invoice” , “SAT Mobile” and “SAT ID” apps, available on Android and iOS devices.
According to the SAT, the updates allow users to have greater control over their tax information. The main improvements include:
- Real-time invoice: activation of a tab to include Income and Transfer Invoices , as a complement to Bill of Lading, taxes and others .
- Instant consultations: You can now confidentially review issued and received invoices in real time and share them via email or social media.
- Downloading acknowledgments: A section has been added to view and download acknowledgments of declarations and the compliance opinion , which confirms whether an individual or legal entity is up to date with their taxes.
In addition to the new features, the SAT applications now allow taxpayers to perform other essential processes:
- Immediate stamping with the Digital Seal Certificate, which ensures the official validity of tax documents.
- Generation of a QR code with the user's tax information (it is recommended to handle it carefully to avoid fraud).
- Updating personal data such as address and contact information.
- Change password and electronic signature (e.signature) .
- Download the Tax Status Certificate and the Tax Identification Card .
The SAT reminded taxpayers that the institution only sends notifications through the Tax Inbox, so it urged taxpayers to be wary of suspicious emails or fake websites. Before completing any transaction, make sure it's the official SAT portal .
