Morena supporters positioned for the 27th election

"There's still a long way to go until the 2027 elections," is the official slogan regarding the midterm legislative and gubernatorial elections. However, with Morena as the dominant party, its daily morning press conferences criticizing the opposition will make it difficult to contain the ambitions of the Morena-supporting groups—or tribes?—who are holding the party accountable.
One example is Ricardo Monreal, who has endorsed Juárez Mayor Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, while Senator Andrea Chávez, who is being supported in her early gubernatorial campaign by Senator Adán Augusto López Hernández, is also supporting him.
Thus, throughout the Official Party, alignments abound to gain an advantage in the race for the 17 governorships, 500 federal deputies, and the main mayoralties of the Republic. And when ambitions are unleashed, only the Presidency can impose order.
The expropriation law of Campeche
Those in the know say that the new Campeche Expropriation Law is not very different from the federal expropriation laws and those in force in other states of the Republic.
It is true that in some respects it is more restrictive, but it maintains the requirement that expropriation be carried out only for public works and maintains the obligation to compensate owners.
It's worrying, however, that in defense of the Campeche expropriation law, a Morena legislator claims that it contemplates, and I quote, "the equitable distribution of hoarded or monopolized wealth." And then they deny its authoritarian impulses.
Beware of the euthanasia law.
"I brought my elderly parents from Holland, for fear that the authorities would decide to use euthanasia, given their advanced age," said a friend who lives in Spain.
In Mexico, almost 13 years ago, an elderly man was scheduled to undergo heart surgery at one of Mexico City's main public hospitals. During his visit, the director reviewed the patient's file and, due to the patient's age, decided against the operation. He agreed when it was explained to him that he was the brother of one of the hospital's best doctors.
Thus, with or without laws legalizing euthanasia, a culture of death is cultivated in societies where people, for budgetary reasons or presumed humanism, are considered disposable, like things.
