Collado promises to refurbish Boca Chica beach

Tourism Minister David Collado announced this Sunday that the government will carry out an ambitious renovation project on Boca Chica beach , with an investment of more than 600 million pesos .
The official made the announcement during an event at the resort, where he also promised the reconstruction of the Andrés boardwalk , the San Miguel parish , as well as the Plaza de los Caracoles, Parque Infantil and Parque Central parks , whose tenders are already published on the website of the General Directorate of Public Procurement (DGCP).
“Let no one doubt that a word given... will be broken . That's just wishful thinking, that's just gossip. I keep my word, ” Collado said, responding to criticism about his fulfillment of his commitments .
Accompanied by Ministry technicians and urban planners, the minister explained that the design details are currently being finalized and that they will meet with vendors between Monday and Tuesday to learn about their specific needs .
RenewalThe official guaranteed that traditional beach vendors will not be displaced during the renovation process . "No vendor who has been here for years will be removed."
In none of our projects have we removed anyone. In none of them has a booth been taken from someone to be given to a party leader. I don't believe in that ," he stated.
He also promised that the new booths will include appliances such as stoves and refrigerators , provided by the state. Vendors will also be trained by the National Institute for Technical and Professional Training (Infotep) and will be eligible for loans to improve their operations .
During the ceremony, Collado signed and delivered a written document outlining his commitments , accompanied by representatives and council members from the area. He also announced that street paving work will begin as soon as the National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewerage (INAPA) completes the ongoing work in the area.
