These were the two gorings suffered by the bullfighter Juan de Castilla in Bayonne: the first is 25 centimeters

This past Saturday, August 30, Colombian bullfighter Juan de Castilla was gored several times in the town of Bayonne, France. The first bull of the afternoon, belonging to the Araúz de Robles ranch, threw the matador into the air during the finale of a knee pass. Despite the resounding goring and the blood spilled, the maestro was able to finish the bullfight as usual .

The bullfighter was later transferred and treated at the Belharra Clinic , where he received the necessary care in the ICU overnight. He suffered two long goring wounds. The first, measuring 25 centimeters, affected the groin area, although the damage was purely muscular. The second, measuring 10 centimeters, was just a few millimeters from the anus. Fortunately, medical tests revealed no serious injury or ailment.

Juan de Castilla's manager, Jesús Salas, confirmed to Aplausos that despite the proximity of the goring to any vital organs, these were not affected in any way . Therefore, the interventions the bullfighter underwent have ruled out any major damage.

In this sense, the bullfighter's speedy recovery is expected, as he managed to take an ear from the animal despite the incident . It was in the closing stages of the bullfight that the bull began to present complications for the bullfighter, culminating in this spectacular finish.
