Bullfights in Seville, live: watch the bullfight with Manuel Escribano, Pepe Moral, and Esaú Fernández at the Maestranza bullring.

Three Sevillian bullfighters will face off today against bulls from the legendary Miura ranch, whose cattle graze on the Zahariche estate (Lora del Río, Seville). Manuel Escribano, Pepe Moral, and Esaú Fernández make up the lineup that bids farewell to the fair in search of triumph.

Pepe Moral puts the finishing touch to the April Fair

Pepe Moral and the two ears cut from the Miura bulls put the finishing touches to the Seville April Fair. With the joy of the Los Palacios bullfighter, we bid farewell to the live broadcast of this bullfight on Lantern Sunday and the Fair. See you soon!

Silence for Esau Fernandez

Silence for Esaú Fernández before the sixth Miura bull. The bullfighter from Camas tried to show off this last bull of the April fair, but without luck, the Miura bull being too unsettled and violent.

Petition from Puerta del Príncipe for Pepe Moral

Pepe Moral has been asked to be awarded the Puerta del Príncipe, after finally cutting off a resounding ear from the fifth bull of the afternoon . An afternoon of unquestionable courage and significance for the bullfighter from the state of Seville, who has come to die for his country. From the moment he once again received this inopinado de Miura at the gate until he once again buried him with a sensational sword thrust right through the fingertips. Pepe Moral spared no effort, galleando chicuelinas and even daring to leave a half-kneeling pass in the middle. He built the faena with tenacity, patience, and composure to ultimately achieve the performance of the afternoon. This fifth bull from Miura was not easy, but in Moral's hands it seemed to be of a different caliber. Ole to the brave bullfighters!

Petition for an ear for Pepe Moral

The crowd, shouting like a bullfighter, demands an ear for Pepe Moral. Despite the loud acclaim, the president only awards one to the bullfighter from Los Palacios.

Second for Pepe Moral

Pepe Moral receives with brilliance the second of his lot, named Inopinado, a bay bull weighing 575 kilos

Silence for the Notary

Manuel Escribano again went for the portagayola with the sixth, this time more gracefully, although his performance was once again lacking in impact. Lacking the style of Miura , the bullfighter from Gerena never showed any confidence, once again being clumsy with the sword.

Sixth Escribano bull in this Fair

The fourth of the afternoon is Panalero, a 561 kg bay born in March 2021.

Applause for the good Miura Baker

Tahonero had a name and distinguished style within the Miura house. A namesake of that first Miura pardoned by Manuel Escribano, this Sardinian bullfighter with a strong style and expression emerged from the moment he appeared in the Maestranza ring. He had been received by an energetic Esaú Fernández at the portagayola , with rhythm in his series of passes, before showing off with a second puyazo from the mouth of the watering can. He was masterfully fought by Juan José Domínguez , who took the pulse perfectly. Esaú produced vibrant moments with his right hand, with long and powerful strokes at the speed of the animal, somewhat less impressive when he took the left hand. The half-length sword thrust that was swallowed gradually, and the descabellos halted the request for an ear. Ovation for bull and bullfighter .

Applause at the drag for Tahonero

Good bravo from Miura this Tahonero who has favored an entertaining faena by Esaú Fernández in the Maestranza, also applauded

Pepe Moral asks for a place: an ear for his dedication against the second Miura

Adobero leaped into the Maestranza alley , and with him, the National Police officer waiting in a shelter next to the old infirmary dove headfirst. What must that man, accustomed to a thousand and one battles, have felt seeing such a legendary animal approaching? Pepe Moral was waiting for him next to the stage, and after the portagayola and the Olympic leap, he still had the nerve to give him another long pass. And a bunch of passes full of pride: forward, with the dark-colored Adobero bending inside out. They asked for his return due to an obvious injury, but they held him, fortunately for Pepe Moral, who saw a bull everywhere and acted as if he were a Tinsmith from El Parralejo. He held him with his right hand until he was ready to take the left hand and fight like his maestro Manolo Cortés did with these bulls: as if they were good ones, forgetting about the brand. And he tossed the fringes of the cloth in a tug-of-war that delivered the Maestranza, like his valiant thrust, straight and slow. A true ear. Well done Pepe Moral, well done the Maestranza, and well done the president.

Also to the gay-portrait Esaú Fernández

Three bulls, third reception at the portagayola. This time Esaú Fernández and the Miura Tahonero are out.

The bull jumps

A scare when Adobero , the second Miura of the afternoon, jumped over the boards. It was Los Palacios bullfighter Pepe Moral's turn.

Manuel Escribano does not trust the first one

Manuel Escribano didn't see Pañolero, the inaugural bull of the Miurada, clearly. He gradually slowed down his momentum after once again planting both knees in front of the pigpen gate. He managed the long pass, but the bull got stuck in the wings and he had to throw his cape and flee. After a graceful banderilla, he cut short a neat three-series performance. This Pañolero had come out very much in the house style, with black, long-legged, and unfinished hair. Without pushing hard, he always leaned on his hands . The Gerena native took excessive precautions when killing, listening for a warning between the eight stabs he gave. The bull finally lay down.

Several punctures to Pañolero

Manuel Escribano struggles to kill Pañolero, the first Miura of the afternoon. The bull finally falls and has to be finished off with a puntilla.

On April 13, 2016, at the Real Maestranza de Caballería in Seville, after a great performance in which he symbolically received two ears, the bull Cobradiezmos was pardoned, by majority request of the public and approval of the authorities, belonging to the Victorino Martín ranch.

Last Saturday, May 3rd, he cut two ears off the bull Mosquetón, from the Victorino Martín ranch, to the shouts of "torero, torero!" and a Maestranza bullfighter on his feet.

Miura Cattle Ranch

The bulls from the Miura ranch graze on the Zahariche estate in the town of Lora del Río, Seville. Their origins date back to the mid-19th century and they were first used in 1849, when they presented a complete bullfight in the Madrid bullring.

This brand, one of the most mythical and legendary in the Spanish bullfighting field, has an important genetic treasure, since the origin of its bulls belongs to a unique caste, such as the "miura", whose singular characteristics have been forged for generations within the owner family.
