Pacic renewed: basic food basket maintained at 910 pesos

The Mexican government and business leaders renewed the Package Against Inflation and High Costs (PACIC) with self-service stores and agricultural producers.
President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo announced this on social media, stating that this agreement means there will be no increase in the price of the 24 basic basket products.

"We are taking care of the popular economy," the federal president wrote after the meeting she held with business leaders this Monday afternoon at the National Palace.
In November 2024, private sector representatives signed the agreement, which establishes a basic food basket with a maximum price of 910 pesos.
The Inflation and High Cost Package is an agreement between the Mexican government and the business sector to guarantee fair prices for various basic food products, with the goal of protecting the pockets of Mexicans.
