Gilda gets a gold

Gilda Cota Peña dedicated a nice gift to her mother on May 10.
The multiple medalist began her career toward the next international cycle by winning the gold medal at the Guadalajara Para Athletics Grand Prix, a qualifying event for several competitions, including the World Championships in New Delhi, India.
Gilda competed in the shot put and did not disappoint, taking home the gold medal with a throw of 7.45 meters in the final part of Saturday's competition.
Gilda, a silver medalist at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games and winner of the Sporting Merit and State Sports Award the same year, expressed her satisfaction with the result, emphasizing that she will continue working hard to achieve her goals and qualify for upcoming official events.
