PSG coach scandal: Luis Enrique loses his temper after the final whistle

Chelsea FC wins the Club World Cup final, while Paris Saint-Germain proves to be a sore loser. After the final whistle, a brawl ensues. PSG coach Luis Enrique also gets involved.
In the thick of it: PSG coach Luis Enrique. TV footage showed the Spaniard first pushing Joao Pedro, the scorer of the 3-0 goal, back in the commotion and then grabbing him in the face. The Chelsea player immediately fell to the ground.
Gianluigi Donnarumma and Achraf Hakimi were also involved in the tussle. Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca finally managed to talk Donnarumma into it. Away from the pitch, the tug-of-war continued.

It wasn't immediately clear from the TV footage whether Pedro had provoked Enrique and his PSG stars beforehand. Nevertheless, the coach, who has to live up to his role model function, is losing his temper, especially in situations like these.
Even during the game in the heat of East Rutherford, just outside New York City, things were heated on the MetLife Stadium pitch. When Cole Palmer scored the 1-0 goal, opposing players clashed while celebrating. Only the Blues remained cool and clinched the game before halftime.
Things got serious in the final stages, though. Joao Neves was shown the red card shortly before the end for violent conduct. He had previously pulled Marc Cucurella's hair.
The heated emotions apparently continued even after the final whistle. The Champions League winners weren't used to losing this season. Enrique also had an impressive run of form snapped. The 53-year-old had previously won all eleven of his finals.
At the awards ceremony with Trump and FIFA President Gianni Infantino, tempers had calmed down, and Enrique was also able to smile again. However, the action will still require some explanation.
