RTL Group LU0061462528 has confirmed its forecast for the current year despite weak business with traditional TV advertising and at its production subsidiary Fremantle in the first quarter.

RTL starts the year with a decline in revenue - but forecast remains
Accordingly, revenues are expected to increase slightly to around €6.45 billion in 2025 thanks to significantly higher streaming revenues and portfolio effects. Earnings before interest, taxes, and amortization (EBITA), adjusted for special items, are expected to rise further to around €780 million, the Bertelsmann subsidiary, listed on the MDax DE0008467416, announced in Luxembourg on Thursday. In the first three months, revenues fell by two percent to €1.29 billion. The decline is due to weaker business at the production subsidiary Fremantle and lower TV advertising revenues. These were only partially offset by increased revenues in the streaming business. The group traditionally does not disclose earnings figures for the first quarter.
