Brics Summit: The alliance against the West is getting stronger

|The BRICS organization of nations aims to counterbalance the previous dominance of the US and Europe. Long ridiculed, the alliance is now gaining membership and influence – partly thanks to Trump.
It's a good sign that the presidents and prime ministers of the BRICS countries are meeting in Rio de Janeiro this Sunday and Monday. On the one hand, because the combined populations of their countries make up roughly half of the entire human population. On the other, because times are more difficult than they have been for a long time: Never since the end of World War II have there been so many wars and armed conflicts. So, a little discussion and mutual exchange can't hurt.
