We try before you buy: Will these products get us ready for autumn? We tested these 5 products for you.

Beauty is our business – and we love it. Of course, our BRIGITTE editors also have quite a few beauty products that have been a staple in their morning routine for years. Nevertheless, we're always open to new things, especially when it comes to new beauty products. And there were quite a few of those in October – these five, to be precise.

My Sleeping Beauty moment

Product: Magic Wonder Cream by Judith Williams Price: approx. €25 Promise: One minute on Instagram and you're bombarded with filtered images. Or are you? Because with Judith Williams' cream, your skin is supposed to glow at least as beautifully as after Photoshop and the like. I didn't need to be told twice and knew immediately: I had to try it. For a soft, even finish, smoother skin, and refined pores. Effect: Said and done – I luckily discovered the product directly in the drugstore and replaced my usual day and night creams. As they say, two is better than one, and it works perfectly here. The 3% niacinamide, together with the integrated wrinkle-filling complex, acts like a soft-focus filter for the skin, leaving me looking incredibly even throughout the day (my makeup on top of it stays put, too). After a good night application, I wake up the next morning with a soft glow and as if by magic, my skin is perfected. My autumn favorite because: every day I feel like Sleeping Beauty is smiling at me. My skin has rarely looked so visibly worse for wear. The gentle filter finish definitely hides the damp autumn air outside.

Product: "CC Color Correcting Cream SPF20" by Lumene Price: around €20 Promise: The Lumene CC Cream is supposed to have a light texture, reduce redness, and, thanks to Nordic cranberry and moisturizing Arctic spring water, provide an even, naturally radiant complexion. Effect: A little product, a big impact. That's what Lumene promises and delivers. The CC Cream is super easy to apply evenly with your fingers or a foundation brush and covers my redness without looking cakey. My autumn favorite because: I've been searching forever for a CC cream that works for my combination skin type. Luckily, I've finally found it with the Lumene product. Even after several hours of wear, the result is perfect and my complexion is even without becoming oily. A real winner in my beauty bag.

Product: Gucci "Beauty Matte" Powder Price: €64 Promise: An even and matte complexion without a mask-like or heavy feeling. Effect: I love everything about this powder! It's packed with really good active ingredients. The black rose oil, for example, controls shine all day long while simultaneously preventing the skin from drying out. This is especially important for powder products! It's like a soft-focus filter in a can!

My autumn favorite because I love wearing turtleneck sweaters in the fall. Thanks to its dry formula, I don't feel like the product is clinging to the fabric when I put it on. Plus, the finish speaks for itself! Paired with a berry blush and a dark red lip color, the flawless finish on the skin is even more striking.

The best skin tint on the market

Product: elf Halo Glow Skin Tint SPF 50 Price: €20 Promise: Natural, radiant finish. Supposed to make skin appear even, feel light, and be comfortable to wear throughout the day. Medium coverage, buildable, especially suitable for normal and dry skin. Effect: How rare is it that a product truly delivers on every single promise? I can only reiterate and add that the Skin Tint looks so incredibly natural that I'm regularly asked if I'm even wearing anything on my skin. What I particularly love: You don't have to apply it to your entire face; you can use it on just certain areas because it blends so seamlessly into the skin. My autumn favorite because: I like to use moisturizing products in colder weather – many light textures feel dry throughout the day.

For softies

Product: Enzyme Peeling Powder by Santaverde Price: approx. €25 Promise: The Enzyme Peeling Powder is designed to gently exfoliate the skin, remove dead skin cells, and create a fresh, clear complexion. Effect: The powder is easy to mix with a little water and then apply to the skin once it has a nice creamy consistency. Leave it on for two to three minutes and then rinse with warm water. The skin immediately feels smooth, cleansed, and soft – in a good way. I use the peeling powder once or twice a week. It's my go-to autumn product because skin tends to be a little more sensitive as the weather gets colder. Natural fruit enzymes, including bromelain from pineapple, mineral clay, and gentle acids make the enzyme peeling suitable even for sensitive skin.
