Charles Maddock is 25. He knows he looks 12. Of course, everyone comments on it, all the time. But he thinks it's an advantage for him. It's good when people think of him as some kind of child prodigy. That's how he told a reporter from Sifted .
12 or 25 – child prodigy fits either way: Charles Maddock is Sweden's newest AI startup star. Together with Arian Hanifi and Sebastian Thunman, he founded Strawberry Browser in 2023 and created it – an AI browser that, according to reports, can easily compete with Google Chrome. So, the name Charles Maddock is worth keeping an eye on.

At the beginning of October, the Swedes launched a beta version of the "self-driving browser," and 10,000 users were allowed to sign up. The first reviews on Product Hunt are indeed excellent, currently at 4.8 out of 5 stars. And on Reddit, many are also commenting on how good—because truly smart—the AI browser is. There's currently no space left on the waiting list for the next rollout.
In a video on the Strawberry homepage, Maddock explains what the AI browser can do. It essentially sends a variety of AI agents online to complete tasks. Maddock calls them "companions," and in the film, they're portrayed as little cartoon gnomes.
