Aduro Clean Technologies Inc.: Aduro Clean Technologies Europe joins Dutch trade delegation at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan

Company will showcase its Hydrochemolytic Technology from September 15 to 25, 2025 in conjunction with Expo 2025 in Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
The mission is led by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, the Dutch government agency responsible for promoting sustainable innovation and international trade. The delegation will showcase Dutch and European innovations in the energy transition, circular economy, and sustainable chemistry. Expo 2025 Osaka is at the heart of the program. It includes high-level meetings with Japanese leaders from industry and politics, sector-specific events, and networking sessions to promote international cooperation.
Japan is an important market for Aduro, as it leads both in industrial technology and circular economy initiatives. The country has set ambitious recycling and decarbonization targets, supported by the Circular Economy of Plastics Act and its 2050 Carbon Neutrality Strategy. Japanese petrochemical companies are actively pursuing the goal of developing and investing in advanced chemical recycling processes to secure circular feedstocks for naphtha crackers. Several pilot and commercial-scale projects are already underway. This environment creates a strong collaborative ecosystem that connects government policy, corporate investment, and technological innovation.
Aduro Europe will use this opportunity to showcase Hydrochemolytic Technology (HCT), share recent progress in its development program, and engage with Japanese stakeholders. Through these interactions, Aduro aims to develop partnerships that could expand the application of HCT in Asia and contribute to Japan's ongoing efforts to build a circular economy for plastics.
"By participating in this trade mission, Aduro can share its progress with stakeholders in a key market while strengthening its relationships in Asia," explains Ofer Vicus, CEO of Aduro. "This commitment underscores our commitment to building international partnerships as we advance our commercial path for our Hydrochemolytic Technology. With the construction of our Next Generation Process pilot plant, its upcoming commissioning provides an important opportunity to demonstrate the capabilities of HCT at pilot scale while engaging international stakeholders seeking solutions to accelerate the circular economy for plastics."
Aduro's participation will be led locally by Eric Appelman, Chief Revenue Officer, who will participate in the trade mission to Japan. Mr. Appelman will present the hydrochemolytic technology during program sessions and participate in meetings organized by the delegation with representatives from Japanese industry, government, and research to explore potential collaborations.
About Aduro Clean Technologies
Aduro Clean Technologies develops patented water-based technologies to chemically recycle plastic waste, convert heavy crude oil and bitumen into lighter, more valuable oil, and convert renewable oils into higher-value fuels or renewable chemicals. The company's Hydrochemolytic Technology uses water as the key active ingredient in a chemical platform that operates at relatively low temperatures and at relatively low cost. This is a groundbreaking approach that transforms low-value raw materials into resources for the 21st century.
