Traffic: Restrictions on Berlin S-Bahn lines S1 and S8

There are currently delays on the Berlin S-Bahn line S1. The reason is a faulty signal box in Hohen Neuendorf, according to Deutsche Bahn. The S1 will continue to run between the Wannsee and Hohen Neuendorf stops, as well as between Birkenwerder and Oranienburg. S-Bahn trains will run every 20 minutes between Hohen Neuendorf and Birkenwerder, the company added. The S1 will also run every 20 minutes between the Waidmannslust and Frohnau stops. Passengers can also use the S85 line there as an alternative.

The S-Bahn Berlin also announced that there are currently restrictions on the S8 line. Due to construction work, there will be no S-Bahn service on this line between Blankenburg and Hohen Neuendorf until 10:00 p.m. Friday evening. A replacement bus service has been set up.
