Rosenstolz singer: Fan meeting planned after death of Anna R. at musical
About a month after Anna R.'s death, fans want to remember the Rosenstolz singer today at a musical. A fan get-together is planned for the show "Romeo & Juliet - Love is Everything" at 7:30 p.m. at the Theater des Westens in Berlin-Charlottenburg.
The Rosenstolz fan club made the call for the event on social media at the end of March. A number of seats were made available to the fan club, and the tickets were to be raffled off through the club.
"Romeo & Juliet" also features a well-known song by Rosenstolz, "Liebe ist alles." The Theater des Westens has reinstated the musical by Rosenstolz musician Peter Plate and composer Ulf Leo Sommer in its program.
Plate recently told the "BZ" newspaper about Anna R.: "Unfortunately, she never saw the musical." When she wanted to attend the dress rehearsal before the premiere in 2023, she was prevented from doing so by a sudden bereavement.
Anna R. died in March at the age of 55. Rosenstolz was one of Germany's most successful pop duos of the past decades. Their hits include "Love Is Everything," "Give Me the Sun," "Kiss of the Thieves," and "The Sluts Are Tired." A memorial was created at the Theater des Westens.
