From Hamburg to the world: The "Aida Diva" has embarked on a 133-day cruise – with premieres in the Pacific.
The cruise ship "Aida Diva" set sail from Hamburg on Monday for a 133-day world cruise. Around 2,000 passengers are on board, who will visit four continents, 27 countries, and 55 ports until March 23, 2026, as the shipping company announced in a press release.
With the call in Hamburg, the Hanseatic city has recorded its 112th visit by an Aida ship in the current cruise year of 2025. Eight more calls are expected by the end of the year. Aida Cruises is organizing the world cruise for the seventh time.
The route covers 35,843 nautical miles – approximately 66,381 kilometers. For the first time as part of an AIDA world cruise, the ship will call at destinations such as Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Hawaii. The US West Coast, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego, as well as Central America and the Panama Canal, are also part of the itinerary.
New Year's Eve will be celebrated in Honolulu. Twelve overnight stays in cities such as New York, Tokyo, San Francisco, and Singapore are planned.
On board, there will be an entertainment program with various guest artists. Actress Michaela Schaffrath will perform two plays, and for the first time, the cast of the TV series "Der Tatortreiniger" (Crime Scene Cleaner) will also be on board. Musical performances will include The Weather Girls. Other announced guests include author Hera Lind, crime novelist Elisabeth Herrmann, and former police profiler Carsten Schütte.
The culinary offerings have been expanded: A new restaurant called French Kiss has opened, and the buffets will be supplemented with regional ingredients. Wine tastings and workshops with TV chefs like Stefan Marquard are planned.
Aida Cruises has already announced its eighth world cruise for October 2026. This 126-day voyage will depart from Hamburg and travel through South America, the South Pacific, and Australia to South Africa. The itinerary includes 20 countries, 43 ports of call, and the passage of Cape Horn and the Cape of Good Hope.
